The toxicity of aerosols is dependent on many factors, such as size, shape, charge and composition. The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically emphasized the knowledge gap and lack of consensus regarding airborne transmission and subsequent health risks. Therefore, it is important to combine several detection methods to fully understand the appearance of the aerosols. In this research, we built an aerosol system with real-time detection, which we validated for characterizing chemical threat agents to investigate its health risk.
